Talking OK! Crying OK! "MOCO Family Special Day 2026" Announced!
Many parents may feel hesitant to visit museums with their children, worrying that they might cry or make noise.
To address this, we have designated a special opening day where parents with babies and children can visit without concern. Strollers are welcome, and a nursing room is available within the museum.
While we usually ask visitors to maintain a quiet atmosphere, on this day, you are welcome to chat and enjoy the exhibits with your family and friends.
Gallery Guide for Children by Curators!
Curators will provide a child-friendly gallery tour explaining the current special exhibition in an easy-to-understand manner! During the tour, families can enjoy the exhibits together using a worksheet to find features of the artworks and the museum. Those who complete the worksheet will receive exclusive, non-sale museum merchandise. Additionally, a photo spot featuring face-cutout panels inspired by the museum's collection will be available.

About The Museum of Oriental Ceramics, Osaka
Established by the City of Osaka in 1982 to commemorate the donation of the world-renowned "Ata Collection" from the Sumitomo Group. The museum focuses on collecting Korean ceramics from the "Ata Collection" and the "Lee Byung-chang Collection," as well as Japanese ceramics. It houses and exhibits a world-class collection of Oriental ceramics, including two National Treasures and 14 Important Cultural Properties. In April 2024, the entrance hall, cafe, and shop were newly established. Along with updated signage, the museum also introduced natural light displays, rotating display cases, earthquake-resistant display stands, and purple excitation LED lighting.
