The Museum of Oriental Ceramics, Osaka, has begun releasing '1-minute short videos' introducing the masterpieces of Oriental ceramics within its collection. These videos were created with the aim of allowing viewers to experience the charm of the collection in a short amount of time.

Each video consists of approximately 50 seconds of work introduction and about 10 seconds of AI-enhanced visual effects. After introducing the form, decoration, and highlights of the piece, the videos incorporate visual expressions that expand the world of the work, such as the motifs drawn on the vessels starting to move. For example, there are scenes where the seasons change around a flower vase, bird patterns on a jar peck at fruit and fly away, and carp motifs swim gracefully. Each production is tailored to the individual work.

The videos are featured on 'Bloomberg Connects,' a free guide used by cultural institutions worldwide, among other platforms. They can be viewed as an opportunity to learn about the charm of the works before visiting the museum, or as content to enjoy alongside the exhibited works during a visit.

Currently, the museum is holding a special exhibition titled 'MOCO Collection Omnibus: First Public Display and Long-Awaited Exhibition - PART 2,' where some of the works featured in the videos can be seen in the galleries. Please note that the museum is scheduled to be closed for facility construction from Monday, August 3, 2026, to around April 2027. This is a great opportunity to see the works before the closure, so please visit during this period.
