Ray-Ban will open its first Ray-Ban store in Kyoto and its largest directly managed store in Japan, 'Ray-Ban Store Kyoto', on Friday, April 3rd, 2026.
Ray-Ban is a brand that has pursued authentic design, unique style, and free creativity, loved across generations, with innovative lens technology and frame design as its core. We will provide a new brand experience space in Kyoto, a cultural city where Japanese tradition and history breathe.
The 270㎡ store features a chic interior based on the brand's iconic red and black colors, incorporating traditional Japanese elements. The floor, made of real lava tiles, expresses the powerful beauty of nature. The red ceiling, which is also the brand's signature color and an homage to Japanese aesthetics, adds warmth and a unique personality to the entire space. The walls of the examination room, with wood-grain interior inspired by Japanese gardens, use smoked glass with smart dimming function to maintain a private space for a more relaxed eye examination.
Additionally, near the entrance, a magnificent digital installation composed of hundreds of LED filaments is installed, welcoming visitors with a dynamic and immersive experience. The store, which is the largest in Japan, displays approximately 1000 eyewear pieces on glass fixtures adorned with precise geometric patterns, covering the walls. It offers a full lineup from iconic models to new collections, as well as kids' and optical collections.
This new Ray-Ban Store Kyoto is a place that expresses the brand's identity, embodying the brand's iconic values while respecting Kyoto and Japanese culture through the materials and design used in the store, creating a special space.
