From 'Accessible Medical Care' to 'Unconscious Medical Care' - O-Gai's Challenge

Our company endorses April Dream, which aims to make April 1st a day for expressing dreams.

This press release is the dream of "O-Gai Holdings Inc."

O-Gai Holdings Inc. (Headquarters: Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture) is working to build a medical infrastructure centered on dental technology, medical MaaS, corporate dental check-ups, and oral data utilization, with the goal of realizing a society where the "presence of medical care is unconscious."

In addition to existing medical services such as outpatient, home visit, and online care, we advocate for an evolution from "delivering medical care" to "making medical care unconscious," challenging a new form of medicine focused on prediction and prevention.

We have a dream.

That is,
to create a world where medical care is no longer something special.

And another,
to realize a society where the number of people suffering from illness is as close to zero as possible.

This press release resonates with the April Dream project,

and is a dream we, who aim to make April 1st a day overflowing with dreams, will eventually realize.

■It all started from the reality of "not being able to eat"

Our origin is

the reality that "there are people who cannot eat."

Not being able to chew or swallow is

not just an inconvenience.

It leads to malnutrition, physical decline,
and even deprives people of their connections with others.

However, in reality,

• dentures are not reaching those who need them

• the number of dental technicians is decreasing

• continuous care is not being provided

These are the challenges.

Therefore, we are committed to
"increasing the number of people who can eat properly" by rebuilding the dental technology system.

■However, medical care only saves "those who can go there"

While facing the reality on the ground, we realized another barrier.

That is,

the reality that medical care is "not reaching" everyone.

Due to various reasons such as region, transportation, and physical limitations,
some people cannot access medical care.

Therefore, we are combining all possible means, such as

• outpatient, inpatient, home visit, and online medical care

• medical MaaS (mobile medical care)

• on-site corporate dental check-ups

aim for "accessible medical care."

■Still, there are "people left behind"

However, no matter how much medical care we deliver,
there are still people left behind.

These are people who are "indifferent" to medical care.

Due to various reasons such as busyness, values, and information gaps,

there is a barrier of "not accessing medical care in the first place."

Therefore, we are also working on
approaches from outside of medical care, such as

• creating points of contact through art and experiences

• new provision models utilizing e-commerce and crowdfunding

We are not particular about specific means.

Outpatient, home visit, online, MaaS, corporate check-ups.
Sometimes with technology, sometimes with culture and experience.

We will do everything necessary to leave no one behind.
