NYC Inc. Announces Investment in Kakuei Gumi Co., Ltd.

NYC Inc. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Tsunehito Nakatsuka; hereinafter "NYC") announces that, effective February 13, 2026, it has acquired all shares of Kakuei Gumi Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shobara City, Hiroshima Prefecture; President and Representative Director: Shuko Yanagita; hereinafter "Kakuei Gumi"), a company engaged in civil engineering, construction, and transportation businesses based in Shobara City, Hiroshima Prefecture, thereby executing the investment. NYC has to date invested in a cumulative total of 31 companies, including small and medium-sized enterprise investments and venture investments.

Since its founding in 1973, Kakuei Gumi has developed as a community-based company operating civil engineering, construction, and transportation businesses from its base in Shobara City, Hiroshima Prefecture.

In its construction business, it handles civil engineering works, paving works, water supply facility works, etc., and in its transportation business, it has a transport network centered on Hiroshima and Okayama prefectures, building a business foundation that supports regional infrastructure. However, the company decided on a business succession by NYC, believing that establishing a next-generation management structure was necessary for further development and business continuity.

NYC is an investment company that invests in excellent small and medium-sized enterprises with superior technology and business models. Since NYC invests using its own funds rather than a fund, it is not bound by investor intentions or return distributions, enabling highly flexible support.
