Masaki Iwanaga

Executive Officer, Japan Male Nurses Association

Began career in physical therapy, then worked as a nursing assistant, lifeguard, and in caregiving before becoming a nurse. Has over 500 practical cases in home-visit nursing, including psychiatric and pediatric care. Currently provides advisory and training services for home-visit nursing stations, and collaborates with the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) on guidelines for non-insurance-covered home-visit nursing and care plans. Also advocated to the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) for the establishment of a nursing assistant association. Currently researching traffic safety in home-visit nursing.
