NEW NURSING Co., Ltd. (Chuo-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director Yuto Okada) is pleased to announce that the Japan Association of Male Nurses (Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director Kosuke Tsubota) will sponsor the "Free Nursing Management Book Club" featuring Professor Toshiko Ibe, Professor Emeritus of St. Luke's International University, as an instructor.

■ In support: The philosophy of "Nursing for Nurses"

The Japan Association of Male Nurses advocates the philosophy of "Nursing for Nurses" and is an organization that supports those who create nursing.

For nursing professionals to continue providing better care to patients, it is essential that nurses themselves are protected, can learn, and can grow healthily in a supportive environment.

This course is an extremely valuable opportunity to learn the essence of nursing management directly from Professor Toshiko Ibe, a pioneer in the nursing world. We are confident that this learning will empower each nursing professional striving in the field and, in turn, contribute to improving the overall quality of the nursing world. Therefore, we will fully sponsor and promote this event.

[Comment from Planner: Mr. Yuto Okada]

I planned this book club because I wanted many nursing managers and young nurses to attend Professor Toshiko Ibe's nursing management course, which profoundly impacted me during my graduate studies at St. Luke's International University. This is a valuable opportunity to learn nursing management directly from Professor Ibe, who, as Vice President at St. Luke's International Hospital, shaped the current St. Luke's. I hope many people will participate. Nurses should determine their own work environment and salaries. To achieve this, it's crucial to understand certain concepts and what actions can improve the workplace tomorrow. This will be a forum for discussion with Professor Ibe. Anyone can participate, so I encourage young nurses and those struggling with their careers to join. I look forward to seeing you in the lecture.

Comment from Mr. Kosuke Tsubota, Representative Director, Japan Association of Male Nurses

I believe nursing managers are among the loneliest people in the field. They are forced to make decisions daily without clear answers, and there's no platform to share their struggles. Male nurses once experienced similar loneliness. As a minority, isolated in the field, they had no colleagues to share their concerns with. Creating a supportive environment for such male nurses is the origin of our association.
The 2026 revision of medical service fees (Reiwa 8 fiscal year) has prominently featured nursing quality, including "high-quality home nursing." At such a turning point, this opportunity to learn nursing service quality management directly from Professor Toshiko Ibe, a leading authority and supervisor, will be a significant support for nursing managers who often feel isolated.
I believe that a platform where managers can learn from each other will be the first step in transforming Japanese nursing. We will fully support this book club.
