New Business Program 'Nu Source' Phase 3 Implementation: postalk Launches Backlog Integration Function to Register Tasks from Voice Data

We are pleased to announce that as a result of the initiatives adopted, an integration function between the project and task management tool "Backlog" and "postalk" has been developed and launched.

■ Development Background: "Nu Source" Creates a New Form of Collaboration

Nu Source aims for independence and business sale after PoC (Proof of Concept), starting from individual ideas. In this case, we determined that combining postalk Inc.'s advanced "thought structuring technology" with the Backlog ecosystem would further enhance user value. Therefore, instead of adhering to the traditional format of independence and commercialization, we adopted the approach of "Nulab's technical adoption" and "development support based on partnership," leading to the implementation of this function.

■ About the Backlog × postalk Integration Function

This function utilizes the Backlog API to seamlessly synchronize information generated on postalk to Backlog.

1. AI analysis of voice data: AI automatically extracts key points from meeting and discussion audio.

2. Structuring and organizing with sticky notes: The extracted key points are displayed as "sticky notes" on postalk.

3.  Backlog integration: Simply select sticky notes that require further action to register them as Backlog tasks in bulk.

By utilizing this function, actions discussed in meetings can be captured without omission, and the burden of administrative tasks such as registering "who does what by when" is significantly reduced. Teams are freed from inputting management information, allowing them to dedicate more time to creative discussions and the execution of projects themselves, which they should originally focus on.

I believe this function is an excellent approach to make AI utilization accessible even for non-technical users. Traditionally, many AI tools required a certain level of IT literacy from users. Therefore, I strongly felt the importance of intuitive GUI operations for everyone, and this function directly addresses that challenge.

In project management, registering tasks generated during meetings into a tool is one of the most time-consuming processes, regardless of IT literacy. This approach, which uses postalk to automatically extract tasks from conversations and smoothly register them into Backlog, can be a significant step towards improving on-site productivity.

We believe that the essence of a project lies within everyday conversations and tasks. However, in reality, what is decided in meetings and issues identified on the spot often go unorganized, and task registration is frequently postponed. postalk visualizes key points as sticky notes just by talking, assisting in consensus building, issue organization, and extraction of next actions. With this integration with Backlog, that flow can now directly lead to execution.

Furthermore, we are also working on developing an AI whiteboard combined with a physical electronic whiteboard. By deepening our collaboration with Backlog, we aim to provide an experience where even those who have found project management difficult can see their daily work as a project.
