Hyundai Department Store has announced the brand lineup for "THE HYUNDAI," scheduled to open in July 2026.
THE HYUNDAI is a platform to support the entry of notable Korean brands into the Japanese market. Most of the tenant brands will open their first permanent stores in Japan, offering a space to directly deliver their brand identity, products, and stories to Japanese customers.
In the fashion category, brands include "COYSEIO 038," known for minimalist silhouettes; "rolarola," popular for its French chic mood; "DOUBLE LOVERS," an eyewear brand blending high fashion and art; and "HIETA," proposing high-sensitivity lifestyle styles. All will open their first permanent stores in Japan.
In the lifestyle category, Seoul-born popular coffee brand "Camel Coffee" will open its first permanent store in Japan, introducing Korea's modern coffee culture. The K-pop fandom platform "WITHMUU" will offer the latest albums and official merchandise, creating new touchpoints with global fans.
Additionally, "STAND OIL," a designer bag brand supported for its simple and refined design, will showcase its latest collection and brand world.
Another highlight of THE HYUNDAI is the two permanent pop-up spaces: "POP-UP ICONIC" and "POP-UP SQUARE." These will operate as platforms to disseminate the latest Korean trends and culture, sequentially featuring brands and content from diverse genres such as fashion, lifestyle, IP content, and F&B, offering a space where visitors can encounter new Korean culture each time they visit.
Notably, Medicos, Hyundai Department Store's strategic partner for its Japan business, has been selected as an implementing company for the "Overseas Expansion Support Project for Distribution Companies" promoted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of Korea and KOTRA.
Medicos provides multi-faceted support such as marketing, logistics, and local operations for participating brands, supporting their entry into the Japanese market. Going forward, they plan to develop THE HYUNDAI as a hub to support the entry of Korean consumer goods and notable brands into Japan, further strengthening its role.
