Nudge Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Takashi Okita) is pleased to announce that the second meeting of the "Entertainment × Fintech Consortium" was held on April 27, 2026. At this meeting, where 26 companies from financial institutions, entertainment businesses, and technology companies gathered, the consortium conducted its first "Interview Workshop with Oshikatsu Users."

This consortium aims to build a new economic ecosystem that fuses the entertainment and financial industries. By engaging with those who support their "oshi" (favorite person/character) or engage in self-improvement and creative activities for their "oshi" across industry boundaries, we aim to uncover latent needs and achieve the early realization of concrete proof-of-concept experiments and business co-creation for new services.

Holding the Second Meeting and Workshop

The "Entertainment × Fintech Consortium" was established in January 2026 with the aim of promoting collaboration between the passionate customer base of the entertainment industry and the robust financial infrastructure of domestic financial institutions. In the rapidly growing "oshikatsu" market, it is necessary not only to analyze simple consumption behavior but also to deeply understand the underlying emotions and context of fans to update the customer experience. To achieve this, the consortium plans to hold regular cross-industry workshops to create new services that fuse financial functions with entertainment.

At the second meeting, the following activities were carried out to address these issues:

- 26 companies from different industries gathered

Twenty-nine leading companies from industries such as financial institutions, entertainment businesses, and technology companies participated, bringing together cross-industry knowledge.

- Interviews with Oshikatsu Users

With the theme "The First Step to Knowing Oshikatsu Users," a user interview workshop jointly designed by the secretariat, consisting of Nudge Inc./TIS Inc./Hakuhodo Inc., was conducted.

- Sharing Insights and Connecting to PoC

Participants were divided into groups and conducted three interview sessions with actual "oshikatsu users." This provided an opportunity to deepen user understanding from each company's perspective and gain insights that will lead to future PoCs and proof-of-concept experiments.

Organizer's Comment

Takashi Okita, President and CEO of Nudge Inc.

"This was the consortium's first attempt to hear directly from actual 'oshikatsu users.' Having 26 companies from different industries engage with the same users and ask questions from their respective viewpoints provided real insights that couldn't be obtained from desk research. I am convinced that deeply understanding the emotions and context behind the act of 'oshikatsu' will lead to the creation of a new economic ecosystem where entertainment and finance are fused. We will continue to work with the participating companies to accelerate PoCs and business co-creation."

Future Prospects

The consortium will continue to aim for the creation of specific collaborative projects through regular meetings and subcommittees, and will accelerate social implementation through proof-of-concept experiments.
