Nagoya University of Commerce and Business International Students Visit NUCB Business School to Deepen Understanding of Graduate Education and Future Studies

In the spring semester of 2026, Nagoya University of Commerce and Business (NUCB) conducted a tour program of NUCB Business School (its graduate school) for Global BBA students. In addition to its own students, exchange students also participated, providing an opportunity to deepen their understanding of graduate education and post-undergraduate career paths. The program included an overview of NUCB Business School, introducing its educational philosophy of developing globally active business leaders and its practical curriculum. Students also learned about the characteristics of a business school with international accreditation and a learning environment that links theory and practice. The students toured lecture rooms, self-study spaces, and group work areas at the Marunouchi Campus, experiencing the daily learning environment of graduate students. Visiting during class hours allowed them to feel the unique learning atmosphere and campus vibe of the graduate school. Furthermore, a class observation of an MBA case method session was conducted. In the class, students actively exchanged opinions and engaged in discussions, working on case analysis based on real business challenges. The visiting students learned that graduate-level education emphasizes discussions based on higher-level perspectives and practical experience compared to undergraduate education. Through this visit, the students deepened their understanding of graduate education and gained a valuable opportunity to consider their future studies and careers. Observing the actual learning environment and classes allowed them to more concretely envision graduate school as one of their options after completing their undergraduate degree. NUCB has established the "Management Course," a first-of-its-kind inter-departmental program at a private university, integrating the faculties of Economics, Business Administration, and Commerce. It also offers the "Global BBA" undergraduate program, where English is the language of instruction. The environment of learning alongside international students from around the world is akin to studying abroad. All Global BBA classes are delivered using the "case method," which allows students to re-experience real-world business decision-making, aiming to cultivate international leaders who can propose their ideas to society through international and inquiry-based learning.
