Japan’s Largest Deployment: NTTSportict Installs 5 AI Sports Cameras at IRISO Arena Yokote in Akita Prefecture

NTTSportict Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture; President and CEO: Masatoshi Nakamura; hereinafter “NTTSportict”), a company promoting sports digital transformation (DX) using AI cameras and related technologies, announces the installation of five units of its AI sports video solution 'STADIUM TUBE S3' (Attachment ①) at IRISO Arena Yokote in Yokote City, Akita Prefecture, which will grand open on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. This is the largest number of AI cameras installed at a single municipal sports facility in Japan.

An opening ceremony was grandly held on Sunday, June 14, ahead of the arena’s official opening in July. Anticipation is peaking for the birth of a 'Digital Sports Arena' that aims to create a new model of regional revitalization through the power of sports.

Building on the enhancement of professional teams and improved fan engagement, the company will support the broadcasting of local elementary, junior high, and high school club activities, citizen tournaments, and various community events held at the arena—helping share the inspiring challenges and emotional moments of Yokote’s citizens with society at large.

Five AI cameras automatically film and live-stream sports matches

IRISO Arena Yokote is a new hub for regional revitalization and disaster preparedness, with a maximum capacity of 5,000 people. In preparation for the grand opening on July 1, NTTSportict’s AI camera system has been fully installed with five AI cameras at a single facility—the highest number in Japan—to perfectly accommodate the arena’s flexible court configurations.

During preliminaries and tournaments: Simultaneous automated filming and live streaming of up to four courts—three in Arena 1 (A, B, C) and one in Arena 2 (D)—without any manual operation.

During finals and special events: The 'Main Court' at the center of Arena 1 will also be filmed automatically by AI cameras.

Dedicated website launch: Watch intense matches anytime, from anywhere!

In conjunction with the July grand opening, we will launch a dedicated streaming website, 'Yokote Sports Live,' allowing real-time viewing of various matches and tournaments held at IRISO Arena Yokote. (Scheduled for release in early July 2026)

By simply applying for and reserving AI camera filming during facility booking, AI will automatically handle camera operation and live streaming. Fans and family members who cannot attend in person can enjoy the games from their smartphones or PCs with the same immersive feeling as being courtside.

(Attachment ①) About 'STADIUM TUBE S3' installed at IRISO Arena Yokote

The core of NTTSportict’s AI sports video solution 'STADIUM TUBE' is an unmanned camera developed by Pixellot Ltd. (Headquarters: Israel), equipped with AI-powered automatic filming and editing functions.

When installed at stadiums and other sports facilities, it reduces filming costs to approximately one-tenth. It also allows automatic insertion of advertisement videos before video playback.

Currently supports filming of 16 sports, including soccer, basketball, rugby, American football, and volleyball (*). In 'Auto Production' mode, the camera work appears as natural as if filmed by a professional cameraperson. (*) Number of supported sports varies by model.

Additionally, alongside standard AI filming, panoramic footage of the entire pitch is captured simultaneously. This allows direct integration of recorded footage into existing coaching systems, enabling team practices, player feedback, and analysis without the need for file conversion or other manual processes.
