New Version of "hitoe® Heat Countermeasure Service for Cloud" Now Available

NTT TechnoCross Corporation (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Atsuko Oka; hereinafter "NTT TechnoCross") will begin offering a new version of the "hitoe® Heat Countermeasure Service for Cloud" in late April 2026. The service realizes risk management regarding worker physical distress in hot environments based on biological, environmental, and exercise information acquired by linking the wearable sensor "hitoe®" worn by the user with a smartphone application. ### Background On June 1, 2025, revised Labor Safety and Health Regulations were enforced to strengthen heatstroke countermeasures in the workplace. For work lasting over one hour continuously or exceeding four hours per day in environments where the WBGT (*1) is 28°C or higher, or the temperature is 31°C or higher, businesses are obligated to perform "system development," "procedure creation," and "dissemination to related parties" to early detect workers at risk of heatstroke, respond swiftly and appropriately, and prevent the condition from becoming severe. The progression of heatstroke to a severe state is primarily attributed to neglecting initial symptoms and delays in response. On-site, it is crucial to quickly execute the basic responses of "finding," "judging," and "dealing with" the situation. Therefore, workplace patrols, the adoption of a buddy system, and the use of wearable devices are recommended. To date, our company has provided the "hitoe® Heat Countermeasure Service for Cloud," which links the chest-mounted wearable sensor "hitoe®" with a smartphone application to detect and manage changes in worker physical conditions at an early stage. This service consists of an administrator function that allows managers to monitor the status of multiple workers, including those in remote locations, from a web system screen, and a mechanism that allows individual workers to check their own physical condition via a smartphone app. In the new version, we have added functions that comply with the revised Labor Safety and Health Regulations, strengthening the service so that administrators and workers can more easily implement responses in accordance with the regulations. This contributes to the improvement of labor management by detecting signs of risk related to worker physical distress—including those in remote locations—at an early stage and taking appropriate measures. ### Features of New Functions (Alignment of Business Obligations and New Functions) (1) Strengthening Workplace Patrols and Communication Means for Anomaly Detection (Support Function for System Development) Managers can visually check information such as worker heart rate, as well as temperature and humidity, in real time (*2), allowing them to detect risks related to worker physical distress at an early stage (*3). This supports the development of a system that allows managers to efficiently grasp the health status of the workplace and enable swift responses. - Displays information such as heart rate, temperature, and humidity, as well as WBGT values, to grasp the working environment and worker status in real time (*4). - Alert notification function allowing managers to prompt workers to take breaks. - Function to freely group workers (by work site, department, team, etc.). - Provides an "Emergency Treatment Procedure Page" that summarizes response methods and contact information for emergencies. - Function that enables immediate contact to registered emergency contacts with a single tap. (2) Examination and Formulation of Treatment and Judgment Flows in Emergencies (Support Function for Procedure Creation) To practice appropriate judgment and response in emergencies on-site, alert notification conditions can be customized, supporting the improvement of the effectiveness of the response procedures that businesses should formulate. - Alert notification conditions sent to workers according to the situation (criteria comprehensively judging multiple indicators such as changes in internal body temperature, high heart rate, or self-reported physical distress) can be freely set according to each company's judgment criteria.
