■ Culture, History, and Characteristics of this District
The Hibiya-Uchisaiwaicho area, consisting of this district and the Yurakucho 1-chome district, has served as an international reception hub since the birth of the Rokumeikan and Imperial Hotel in the late 1800s as social venues and guest houses to entertain state guests and foreign diplomats. It is located at the junction of Japan's leading business and commercial areas such as Otemachi, Marunouchi, Yurakucho, Ginza, Kasumigaseki, and Shimbashi, and is blessed with greenery and water, adjacent to the Imperial Palace and Hibiya Park.
