NTT East Corporation (hereinafter, NTT East) is launching "Hikari Cloud Phone for Zoom Phone" (hereinafter, this service) on July 1, 2026 (Wed). This service expands the connectivity of "Hikari Cloud Phone," which has been offered since April 2021, by connecting it with Zoom's cloud phone service, "Zoom Phone." This initiative is driven by the growing demand for cloud-based corporate voice communication and integrated work environments utilizing web conferencing, chat, and phone calls, aiming to promote business transformation through the fusion of communication and applications.

This service enables companies already using Zoom Meetings and other Zoom services for business to cloudify their phone systems, incorporating inbound and outbound calls using standard fixed-line phone numbers (0AB-J numbers), while leveraging their current communication environment. By expanding the lineup of "Hikari Cloud Phone," which connects phone and network infrastructure with cloud communication services, NTT East will support companies with multiple locations, local governments, and customers considering replacing aging PBX and business phone systems by improving the efficiency of their phone operations, reducing operational burdens, and enabling flexible work styles.

1. Background and Objectives of the Service

With the diversification of work styles, there is a growing need for services that link web conferencing and phone calls, allowing seamless external calls from PCs and smartphones. NTT East will leverage its cultivated phone and network infrastructure and its track record of connecting "Hikari Cloud Phone" to support the cloudification of phone systems by enabling connectivity with Zoom Phone, thereby utilizing existing Zoom environments. This service will enable external calls and reception using fixed-line phone numbers (0AB-J numbers) from Zoom, and contribute to improving the efficiency of customer phone operations and reducing operational burdens through integrated use with web conferencing and chat, as well as support for settings such as linking phone numbers.

2. About This Service

(1) Key Features

Achieve inbound and outbound calls using fixed-line phone numbers (0AB-J numbers) with "Zoom Phone" through "Hikari Cloud Phone" integration.

- By connecting "Hikari Cloud Phone" and Zoom Phone, external calls can be made and received using existing fixed-line phone numbers (0AB-J numbers), allowing phone operations to be conducted on Zoom's communication platform.

- "Hikari Cloud Phone" provides external line functionality and integrates with Zoom Phone to build a communication environment unified with Zoom Meetings and other services.

- Phone operations can be conducted from anywhere without the need for fixed-line phone terminals, as long as an internet environment such as a PC is available. *2

- Reduced implementation costs as no equipment installation or wiring work is required. *3

- For customers subscribing to "Hikari Cloud Phone for Zoom Phone," NTT East will perform various setup tasks, including phone number linking, on behalf of the designated personnel (paid service).

*2 Communication charges for internet, etc., may be incurred separately depending on the usage environment. *3 For customers currently using NTT East's "Hikari Denwa Office A (Ace)" and migrating their existing numbers to "Hikari Cloud Phone," no equipment installation or wiring work is required. Work may be necessary when newly subscribing to FLET'S Hikari or Hikari Denwa Office A (Ace). Installation fees will apply for number migration.

(2) Service Conditions

To use this service, a separate license contract with Zoom Phone functionality provided by Zoom is required.
