The business operators promoting the development of the 'Uchisaiwaicho 1-chome District (Uchisaiwaicho 1-chome, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, hereinafter referred to as 'this district')' have decided on the district name for the '(Tentative) Uchisaiwaicho 1-chome District Development Project, hereinafter referred to as 'this project')' as 'HIBIYA CROSSPARK', and have formulated the logo mark and district concept 'Let's be the place where the wind is born.' At the same time, we announce the launch of the 'HIBIYA CROSSPARK' website and concept movie. It is one of the largest large-scale mixed-use developments in central Tokyo, boasting a total floor area of approximately 1.1 million square meters, comprising diverse uses such as offices, commercial facilities, and hotels. Toward overall completion, the tower in the South District is scheduled to be completed in FY2028, and the NTT Hibiya Tower in the Central District is scheduled to be completed sequentially in FY2031. ■ District Name 'HIBIYA CROSSPARK' Based on the business concept 'TOKYO CROSS PARK Concept', this district aims to be a city that generates the following values as a 'nodal point' connecting surrounding stations, major hubs in the city center, and the adjacent Hibiya Park. ● Utilizing the scale of approximately 1.1 million square meters of total floor area, one of the largest in central Tokyo, in a broad expanse integrated with Hibiya Park, a city combining comfort and quality that makes people passing by want to visit spontaneously. ● A city where, while being an extension of daily life that you can easily visit, you can encounter new discoveries and values you do not usually touch every time you visit. ● As a nodal point for major areas in central Tokyo, a city that constantly evolves with multifaceted faces, where different things and diverse people intersect and resonate with each other. We adopted the coined word 'CROSSPARK', combining the two words 'CROSS' and 'PARK', embedding the following meanings in each word. 'CROSS': To be a nodal point where diverse values resonate. A district where various people, things, and events resonate and co-create, allowing one to feel values such as newness and comfort. 'PARK': To be able to enjoy a comfortable time naturally in a space where you can feel the wind. ■ Logo Mark Being conscious of the characteristics of Hibiya where this district is located, we incorporated the aimed vision of the district into the design. Based on a shape that captures the spatial characteristics of the district, we adopted an impressive design reminiscent of the character '日' (Sun/Day) in Hibiya. The overlapping squares express a 'nodal point', the open spaces express 'the passage of wind', and the green color imagining the greenery overflowing in the area expresses 'fusion with nature'. Combining these elements, it is an icon that condenses the characteristics of the district name 'HIBIYA CROSSPARK'. The font is designed to look like it is moving lightly, incorporating a wish for people to feel a coziness as if blown by a gentle breeze. ■ Concept Statement We decided on 'Let's be the place where the wind is born.' as the concept embodying the existential significance and will of 'HIBIYA CROSSPARK', which will be the value transmitted from this district. The concept 'Let's be the place where the wind is born.' expresses the positive elements born from the encounters and resonance of diverse values, which is the characteristic of this district, as 'wind'. It also includes the will toward the future that this district will become a place where various winds are born, spreading those winds not only to this city but to Japan, and further to the world. ■ Concept Movie Using animation, we visually express the various 'winds' born from 'HIBIYA CROSSPARK', centered around the logo mark that embodies the concept of this district. It is located at the nodal point of Japan's leading business and commercial areas such as Otemachi, Marunouchi, Yurakucho, Ginza, Kasumigaseki, and Shimbashi, in an environment blessed with greenery and water adjacent to the Imperial Palace and Hibiya Park.
