NTT Mobility Corporation (hereinafter "NTT Mobility") established the "Autonomous Driving Safety Management Committee," an internal organization aimed at further enhancing the safety and reliability of the NTT Group's autonomous driving business, on July 1, 2026.

Under various expert working groups, including experts from within and outside the NTT Group, this committee will develop safety management rules and systems for the entire NTT Group, conduct various drills, and analyze accident cases from both internal and external sources.

1. Main Activities

- Development and systematization of group-wide safety management rules and flows for autonomous driving services. - Formulation of response manuals in preparation for any accidents. - Analysis of causal factors for accident cases within and outside the group, and formulation of recurrence prevention measures. - Development and implementation of drill plans assuming the occurrence of major accidents.

2. Committee Structure

The committee will be composed of relevant departments within the NTT Group and external experts (in legal and technical fields) to promote initiatives from a specialized and objective perspective. Furthermore, three working groups, established by field, will conduct deliberations from their respective specialized viewpoints to enhance safety management in autonomous driving services.

[About NTT Mobility]

To date, the NTT Group has participated in numerous autonomous driving-related demonstrations, leveraging the NTT Group's nationwide operational structure to solve regional transportation issues. Furthermore, through investments in companies such as May Mobility and Navya to provide autonomous vehicles, and by advancing communication technologies including the IOWN concept, we have been working to improve the safety and reliability of autonomous driving and promote its adoption.
