Nippon Travel Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Keigo Yoshida, hereinafter "Nippon Travel") will jointly plan and hold a mystery-solving tour titled 'Time Travel 2026 in Kannai' with students from Yokohama National University (Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture; President: Izuru Umehara), anational university corporation. This tour, set in Yokohama, aims to foster learning through play and will be held on August 22 (Sat).
Yokohama City is promoting new urban development with the themes of "international industry-academia collaboration" and "tourism and attraction."
This initiative brings together students from Yokohama National University (1 Regional Challenge Practice "Locomobi Project") who are engaged in practical urban development from the perspectives of community and mobility, and Nippon Travel Tom Sawyer Club*2. Together, they have developed a program for elementary and junior high school students in the Yokohama vicinity to learn about the development of the Kannai and Minatomirai areas while having fun.
Through mystery-solving that explores Yokohama's historical industrial and cultural activities, this tour allows participants to learn about the transition to current urban development that considers the environment, and about sustainable "connections between people and the city."
Nippon Travel and Yokohama National University aim to further strengthen their collaboration, starting with this tour, and will continue to work on revitalizing various regions in the future.

"Regional Challenge Practice" is a practical subject within the "Community Interaction Subjects" sub-major program, organized by the Center for Regional Practice Education and Research, Regional Cooperation Promotion Organization, Yokohama National University. It is a community-based practical course. "Practice of Urban Development from Community and Mobility (Locomobi Project)" conducts various activities to identify and solve issues related to regional transportation and urban development, with Yokohama, Fujisawa, and Kamakura as its fields.
*2 About Tom Sawyer Club
Established in 1987 by Nippon Travel with the wish for the growth of the next generation, this is a membership club for elementary and junior high school students. Currently, it has approximately 3,000 members nationwide and offers adventurous content such as summer nature experience camps and winter ski experience trips.
