NST Globalist Co., Ltd. (NSTG) will begin providing an integrated bear damage prevention solution that combines two systems to address the increasing threat of bear damage.
One system is 'SR-LINK,' which ensures the safety of local government officials and maintenance workers visiting the sites. The other is 'SR-IMAGE (Electric Fence Monitoring),' which remotely monitors the voltage of electric fences 24 hours a day. By first ensuring the safety of people heading to bear-infested areas and keeping electric fences functioning properly, the solution maintains zoning (separation of bear and human habitats) and protects the entire local community. For data transmission, a combination of cellular LTE, Wi-Fi, satellite communication, and NSTG's long-range LoRa wireless communication, featuring 20mW high output and high-sensitivity reception, is used to achieve an uninterrupted communication environment.
Background: Widespread Bear Damage Nationwide and Two Challenges at the Sites
Human casualties caused by bears in FY2025 reached a record high of 238 people, including 13 fatalities (preliminary figures by the Ministry of the Environment). Incidents are occurring not only in farming and mountain villages but also in residential and urban outskirts, making bear damage a national issue. In March 2026, the government decided on a bear damage countermeasure roadmap at a ministerial meeting (Source: Cabinet Secretariat), setting regional capture targets by FY2030, reinforcing zoning protections like electric fences, and aiming to triple the number of municipal staff engaged in capture operations to 2,500. However, the locations where these increased personnel must go are high-risk areas where bears actually appear.
(1) Personnel Safety Management: About 'SR-LINK'
Entering sites without safety measures exposes the workers themselves to danger. Currently, workers are forced to work without means of communication even if bear encounters or emergencies occur.
Challenge: Personnel on Site
Lack of safety: If communication is cut off in bear habitats, there is no way to contact others in the event of bear encounters, emergencies, or falls. Entering the site is hazardous unless personal safety is ensured.
SR-LINK solves this issue. It allows constant communication with the management headquarters via SOS notifications and two-way chat. It also enables remote monitoring of the wearer's condition through vital sign tracking and fall detection (as auxiliary functions) using wearable devices. This establishes a system for immediate remote response to any incident on site.

(2) Remote Monitoring of Electric Fences: About 'SR-IMAGE'
While cage traps and drone deterrence are used to prevent bear intrusion, they require constant human intervention. Electric Fences are considered the only permanent, unmanned defense system. However, they face post-installation challenges.
Challenge: Electric Fences
Unable to detect voltage abnormalities in real-time. Issues like weed contact, battery depletion, or wire breakage cannot be checked remotely, leaving them unnoticed until physical patrols are conducted. Fences may remain deactivated when issues are finally discovered.
SR-IMAGE solves this challenge by monitoring the normal operation of electric fences. It detects voltage abnormalities 24 hours a day and sends immediate alerts to smartphones and PCs, allowing managers to check the fence status without visiting the site. NSTG addresses the dual challenges of 'worker safety' and 'fence maintenance' with a single solution.

Solution: Protecting "People" First, Then "Fences"
SR-LINK (On-site Worker Safety Management)
SR-IMAGE (Remote Monitoring of Electric Fences)
- Real-time GPS location tracking on a map
- Voltage sensors measure voltage per pulse
- Immediate SOS alerts for emergencies
- Immediate email alerts to managers when voltage falls below threshold
- Constant communication with the site via two-way chat
- Simultaneous monitoring of battery status and wire breakage
- Health status monitoring using wearable devices
- Retrofittable to existing electric fences (no new construction required)
* Note: The wearable device for SR-LINK is not a medical device. It is a healthcare service designed to assist in monitoring the wearer's condition and is not intended for the diagnosis, treatment, or prevention of diseases.
Data Communication Infrastructure
In addition to cellular LTE, Wi-Fi, and satellite communication, the integration of LoRa wireless (920MHz band) ensures uninterrupted communication regardless of terrain. LoRa supports up to 12-hop relaying and up to 10km per hop (reference value with good line of sight). Solar panel and battery configuration for commercial
