Nippon Steel Kowa Real Estate Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Masahiro Miwa; hereinafter "Nippon Steel Kowa Real Estate") and Odakyu Real Estate Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Shu Igarashi; hereinafter "Odakyu Real Estate") will co-host "Ekimae Yuen Park," a public space utilization experiment event organized by Kawasaki City, on Sunday, May 31, 2026.

In the Noborito-Mukaigaoka Yuen Station area, initiatives are being promoted to create attractive hubs by leveraging the region's potential, including rich natural environments like Ikuta Ryokuchi Park and cultural facilities. Kawasaki City is promoting the creation of comfortable and walkable spaces where people can feel close to nature, such as "trees" and "greenery," through social experiments.

This "Ekimae Yuen Park" event, following last autumn's initiative, will transform part of the roadway into a pedestrian paradise at the Mukaigaoka Yuen Station South Exit Plaza (Noborito 2737, Tama Ward, etc.). It will host talk events, as well as various workshops where visitors can enjoy picnics amidst fresh greenery, craft making, rickshaw rides, and other diverse activities, serving as an experimental venue for public space utilization.

For the event, Nippon Steel Kowa Real Estate and Odakyu Real Estate will support part of the operating costs. On the same day, a talk event by students from Senshu University will also be held, making it an industry-government-university collaborative initiative involving administration, private sector, and academia.

Through participation in this event, we will verify the potential for urban development that enhances regional attractiveness starting from the station area and encourages people to stay and circulate, and we will continue to contribute to the creation of sustainable and attractive urban spaces in cooperation with the local community.

[Open House Type Citizen Briefing] (No reservation required) An open house type citizen briefing on the "Mukaigaoka Yuen Station South Side Urban Development Policy (Draft)" will be held simultaneously at the station plaza. This briefing will display explanatory panels in the venue, and Kawasaki City staff will answer questions. Anyone can participate freely. Please feel free to drop in as entry and exit are free.
