This property is the first Sleep Tech apartment in the "Livio" rental apartment series, Nippon Steel Kowa Real Estate's apartment brand based on the concept of "apartments for richly designing one's life." With SleepLIVE Co., Ltd. serving as supervisor, we have developed and adopted products aimed at improving the quality of life and sleep environment for busy modern people, based on the unique concept of "SwitchEase Living," which provides residents with a comfortable sleep. Furthermore, the same concept is also being introduced to the condominium currently on sale, "Livio Kawasaki Daishi Station Site."

Background of the Initiative

Future Style Research Institute, operated by our company, has been conducting research activities under the theme of "Future Living" since fiscal year 2022. From the research study "LIVIO Agenda (published in 2023, currently renamed Future Style Agenda)" which considers the future of living, we have broken down time spent at home into five elements: "Work," "Dining," "Child-rearing," "Cleaning/Laundry," and "Sleep," and are verifying product and service planning in line with "living that enriches life."

In this instance, we have planned products focused on "sleep," which accounts for the longest amount of time spent among the lifestyle elements at home. The average sleep time for Japanese people is 7 hours and 22 minutes, which is among the shortest levels globally. As this suggests a chronic physical and mental burden on Japanese people, we have been verifying measures that can provide support from a housing perspective.
