In the field of the environment, including carbon neutrality, NSK is committed to creating environmentally friendly products through its tribology and manufacturing technologies. Furthermore, the company is promoting initiatives across the entire supply chain—from material procurement and production to logistics, customer usage, and disposal—by focusing on energy conservation, technological innovation to reduce GHG emissions such as CO2 in manufacturing processes, and the utilization of renewable energy.

NSK is focusing on reducing emissions derived from raw materials such as steel and procured parts, which account for a significant portion of its GHG emissions. In addition to thorough energy reduction through conservation, the company is strengthening collaboration by sharing environmental policies and measures with suppliers, while also supporting emissions calculation and data collection. These efforts have been intensified since fiscal year 2022, and the scope of collaboration has expanded to 58 companies, including those without capital ties, covering approximately 80% of procurement value for components. NSK believes that these initiatives, combined with proactive information disclosure, led to this highest rating.
