A 15-Year Relationship Built in Rikuzentakata Reaches Society: Certified NPO SET Wins the '12th Platinum Guild Award'

Certified NPO SET runs one of Japan's leading education and regional co-creation programs, connecting young people with the local community, based in Rikuzentakata—an area affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake. Through homestay businesses and long-term internships, the organization creates a cycle of challenges, nurturing human resources and communities that pave the way for the region's future. In addition to winning the Prime Minister's Award twice, they have received numerous other awards. Over 80 young people have relocated to Iwate Prefecture through SET, and their work has been widely featured in books and other media.
