[Kanagawa Spring Family Event] 100,000 Enthusiasts! New Series of 'Mystery Hunter' Riddle-Solving Adventure Rally Comes to Parks in Yokohama and Kawasaki

## What is the Family-Friendly Riddle-Solving Event 'Mystery Hunter'?

'Mystery Adventure Rally: Mystery Hunter' is an experiential riddle-solving event that parents and children can participate in together.

Endorsed by various boards of education, the event has been held in parks nationwide during the spring and autumn seasons since 2022. Every year, more than 100,000 families participate.

This popular event is scheduled to take place in Kanagawa Prefecture this spring!

Participants will tackle 'mysteries' that suddenly appear in the park. They will walk around searching for clues and questions set up in various locations to unravel the hidden secrets.

Different storylines unfold, such as the 'Legendary Sword Series' revolving around a blade to seal a demon king, and the 'Phantom Thief vs. Detective Series' chasing stolen gems. Each series offers unique challenges. Additionally, there are three difficulty levels to choose from, making it enjoyable for everyone from preschoolers to upper elementary school students.

One of the attractions is the ability to deepen learning through play, as the riddles incorporate textbook content and elements of the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals).

### Daishi Park (Kawasaki City)

## Age-Appropriate Courses for Elementary and Preschool Children

1. **Easy Course (For preschoolers to 1st graders, Introductory)**
Focuses on counting and identifying names of objects, designed for preschool children to enjoy.

2. **Normal Course (For 1st to 3rd graders, Standard)**
Features problems that combine two hints or require simple calculations, allowing kids to enjoy the satisfaction of solving mysteries.

3. **Challenge Course (For 3rd grade and up, Advanced)**
Requires combining multiple hints and thinking outside the box, helping to develop both academic knowledge and creativity.
