The Specially Certified NPO 321 Project (Location: Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture, Former Chairman: Shiho Okamura, hereinafter referred to as "the Corporation") announces that it will transition to a new structure starting in fiscal year 2026, and that Masaki Kawamura, a current director, has been appointed Chairman by the election of directors.
The new structure will carefully inherit the activities cultivated to date, while positioning the promotion of social education and lifelong learning as one of its key focus areas. We will continue to address various issues faced by local communities and contribute to the realization of a more sustainable local society.
◼︎ Background of the New Structure's Launch - Towards the Promotion of Social Education and Lifelong Learning
Amidst significant societal changes, the importance of creating an environment where everyone can continue to learn, regardless of age or circumstances, is increasing.
The Corporation has been working to solve various issues faced by local communities, including housing support for those facing economic difficulties.
In the course of continuing these activities, we have come to believe that in addition to creating an environment where people can live with peace of mind, "creating an environment where learning can continue" is also necessary for contemporary local communities.
Based on these ideas, the Corporation will transition to a new structure and work on initiatives to promote social education and lifelong learning as new key focus areas.
◼︎ What the New Structure Aims For - Towards Creating "Learning Havens" Where Anyone Can Continue to Learn
The new structure will promote the creation of "learning havens" where children and adults alike can continue to learn with peace of mind as a new key initiative.
In particular, we will work to create a learning environment where children from families facing economic difficulties, whom the Corporation has supported, as well as young people and adults who have difficulty accessing learning opportunities for various reasons, can learn with peace of mind, connect with others, and expand their potential.
Learning is not confined to school education alone. Community interaction, encounters with diverse generations, and experiences with new knowledge and skills are also important lifelong learning.
Through initiatives to promote social education and lifelong learning, the Corporation aims to expand "learning havens" and realize a local society where residents can grow through learning and interaction, and support each other.
◼︎ New Chairman's Profile and Comments
New Chairman: Masaki Kawamura
Born in 2002, from Fuji City, Shizuoka Prefecture. After graduating from the prestigious Shizuoka Gakuen High School, known for its soccer program, he entered the Faculty of Life Sciences at Kyoto Sangyo University. He has a strong sense of the challenges between the skills required in the rapidly changing modern society and current education, and aspires to start a business in the education field. In his fourth year of university, he decided to take a two-year leave of absence (he is currently back in school). Driven by a desire to create an environment for essential learning for the young people who will lead the future, he established "Learning Bridge," a general incorporated association that supports education by working alongside challenges in educational settings. Subsequently, he became a director of this Corporation in January 2026 and serves as Chairman from this term.
[Comment]
I am Masaki Kawamura, and I have been appointed Chairman of the Specially Certified NPO 321 Project.
First, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Shiho Okamura, the former Chairman, as well as the directors, auditors, members, and many other stakeholders who have supported the organization to date.
While cherishing the path that you have built, I will strive for the further development of the organization under the new structure.
In the future, we will continue our activities aimed at solving various issues in local communities, which we have been working on, and also focus our efforts on initiatives to promote social education and lifelong learning, steadily accumulating activities that are needed by local communities.
Furthermore, we will advance our activities while valuing collaboration and co-creation with government agencies, companies, educational institutions, and local residents, aiming to realize a society where as many people as possible have opportunities to learn, challenge themselves, and connect with others.
We sincerely ask for your continued support and cooperation.
◼︎ Former Chairman's Comment
Former Chairman: Shiho Okamura
The Corporation has decided to entrust the chairmanship to Masaki Kawamura, who is also a current university student.
While he may seem young based on his age alone, what we have seen is not his age, but his "ability to face social issues, involve people, and continue to act."
There are challenges that can only be seen by those who are involved in the field of education and are closest to their peers and children. We are confident that this perspective will be a great asset to our Corporation in considering the future of social education and lifelong learning.
Generational change is not about negating the past. It is a step towards challenging activities required by the new era while inheriting the foundation that has been built.
