Nail Event Returns After 2 Years: 'Asia Nail Festival in Osaka 2026' at INTEX Osaka on July 12–13

The Japan Nailist Association (JNA), headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, and led by President Yuko Nakasone, will host the 'Asia Nail Festival in Osaka 2026' at Hall 2 of INTEX Osaka on July 12 (Sunday) and 13 (Monday), 2026.

This event, held annually in July, is the largest nail event in western Japan and marks its 29th edition this year. It is a major summer celebration of nail art, attracting nearly 10,000 visitors, including nail technicians, salon owners, beauty professionals, and general nail enthusiasts. The festival features the prestigious nail competition to crown Japan's and Asia's top nail artist, alongside a nail trade show with 43 companies occupying 272 booths (as of June 12, 2026), showcasing the latest nail and beauty products.

Last year's event was canceled due to the impact of the Osaka-Kansai Expo, making this year's event a highly anticipated return after a two-year break.

【Nail Trade Show】

An annual highlight featuring direct sales and exhibitions by nail and beauty-related manufacturers and dealers.

A real-world exhibition ideal for gathering the latest nail trends, showcasing new nail products, trending colors, and special sets at exhibition-only prices. This year, 43 companies will occupy 272 booths (as of June 12, 2026).

【Nail Competition】

Japan's largest nail competition with nearly 30 years of tradition. The event combines on-site competitions with online competitions conducted via image submissions.

◆ Asia Cup

Top nail artists who have placed highly in domestic and international contests compete in skill and creativity to determine the Asia Champion. This year's category is 'French & Design Sculpture (8 French + 2 Design nails)'.

◆ All Japan Nailist Championship

A traditional nail competition to crown Japan's top nail technician. Competitors vie across 3 divisions—Professional, Freelance, and Junior/Student—in 7 categories. The Junior/Student division also doubles as the All Japan Beauty School Nail Championship (team competition).

◆ Online Nail Competition

Two categories will be held online:

'Nail Art Photo Contest'—Participants create nail art on a model's hands, presenting the entire photo as an artwork on a dedicated website, with rankings determined by public voting.

'JNA Certified School Neatiful Contest (2 categories)'—Exclusively for students from JNA-certified schools, competing with submitted images of nail designs and makeup coordination.
