On July 1, 2026, The Nippon Philanthropic Foundation (Location: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Kazuhisa Kishimoto) began accepting applications for the first "Goto City Baramon Junior and Senior High School Student Support Fund (Short-Term Overseas Study)."

"Goto City Baramon Junior and Senior High School Student Support Fund (Short-Term Overseas Study)"

This is a non-repayable grant scholarship to support short-term overseas study, aimed at high school students residing in Goto City, to foster their growth through learning and diverse experiences abroad.

Recruitment Details - Target: First or second-year high school students residing in Goto City at the time of application - Grant Amount: Up to 1 million yen (Breakdown: 100,000 yen for preparation, up to 900,000 yen for short-term overseas study expenses) - Number of Recipients: 5 (planned) - Study Abroad Period: Approximately 1 to 2 weeks during the summer vacation period of the high school attended in 2027

- Study Abroad Destination: Study abroad programs in English-speaking countries conducted by travel agencies designated by the Foundation

* Applicants will select their desired program from the available study abroad programs. * The student must apply to the travel agency themselves.
