Metagri Institute, which promotes the integration of agriculture and new technologies (operated by Nōjōjin Co., Ltd., headquartered in Funabashi City, Chiba Prefecture, CEO: Yuichiro Kai), will host an online seminar titled "Bringing Regional Charm to Life with AI: Behind-the-Scenes Insights from Award-Winning Creators on Regional PR Video Production" on Saturday, July 4, 2026.
In this seminar, two AI creators who won a regional PR video contest will take the stage to explain how they researched local information, selected key attractions from many options, and transformed these into stories and visuals using AI. They will unravel the invisible production process—such as initial ideas, world-building design, prompt engineering for video-generation AI, and troubleshooting when outputs didn't meet expectations—alongside actual works and trial-and-error experiences.

Background of the Seminar
Video-generating AI is not a tool that instantly produces perfect footage with just one click. It requires researching the region, selecting appealing elements, crafting narratives, and repeatedly generating and refining content. It is precisely in this process that the creator’s judgment becomes evident. This seminar will decode the production process from three perspectives:
Turning regional charm into a concept: How the region was researched and how core themes were selected from numerous appealing aspects
AI-powered visual expression: Creative approaches to making imaginative formats like RPGs and fantasy viable as regional PR
Dealing with imperfect generation: Real-world trial and error involving storyboarding, prompt design, and adjusting outputs to achieve the desired results
The seminar will be accessible even to those new to AI-generated video, focusing not only on technical aspects but primarily on "how to express regional charm."
Works from a Municipality-Collaborated Regional PR Video Contest
The two creators appearing in this seminar won awards in a regional PR video contest co-hosted by Metagri Institute and Shiroi City, Chiba Prefecture.
The contest invited 30- to 60-second PR videos targeting 20- to 30-something parenting households, themed around "Achieving a Comfortable Lifestyle in Shiroi." A total of 31 entries were submitted by 28 creators nationwide, showcasing diverse works utilizing video-generation AI.
Video Contest
The seminar will focus on two award-winning entries: "Shiroi City Quest," the Grand Prix winner, and "The Place Where Families Smile, Shiroi," winner of the Nōjōjin Award. Additionally, a pre-recorded interview video with Shiroi City officials will be screened, discussing the background of the contest and the behind-the-scenes of the judging process.

Learning from the Two Award-Winning Works
Work: "Shiroi City Quest"
Creator: Shishamo
This work portrays everyday challenges such as parenting, long commutes, and high living costs as monsters, and depicts the family overcoming these obstacles through an RPG-style narrative.
During the seminar, Shishamo will explain why they chose the RPG format, how regional challenges were translated into storytelling, and how they progressed from initial AI experimentation to finalizing the work.
Work: "The Place Where Families Smile, Shiroi"
Creator: Hana Petal
This work presents the local scenery as "fantasy slightly connected to reality," using dreamlike visuals as an entry point before grounding the narrative in the real-life happiness of family life.
Hana Petal will share insights on connecting fantasy and reality in composition, and the trial and error involved in naturally portraying people, camera movements, and spatial dynamics.
