Inc., a subsidiary of note Inc., is jointly hosting the accommodation-based story experience 'The Witch of the Disappearing Plateau' with Risonare Nasu (Nasu District, Tochigi Prefecture), operated by Hoshino Resorts. Due to its popularity, the event period has been extended from July 1 to September 30, 2026. Sales for the extended period begin today.

This project is Japan's first (*1) accommodation-based story experience where a writer creates an original story for a resort facility, allowing guests to immerse themselves in that world. It became a topic of conversation among mystery-solving fans and those seeking new travel experiences immediately after the information was released. The initially planned reservation slots for June sold out in just 3 days from the start of sales. Even the hastily added reservation slots sold out, generating a significant response. The decision to extend the period was made in response to requests. Along with the extension, a solo traveler limited plan will be sold for a limited number of groups and dates.

The accommodation-based story experience 'The Witch of the Disappearing Plateau' is a story experience where your choices change the ending. The stage is Risonare Nasu, which has a vast site about three times the size of the Tokyo Dome. Upon check-in, guests receive a letter and a photo, embarking on a journey to uncover the truth about a 'witch' who is said to have once lived in this area. Guests explore the forests and activity facilities on the grounds, tracing the sealed memories of the witch's past. At the end of solving all the mysteries, a 'time-crossing postbox' appears. The ending of the story delivered to the guest's room the next morning changes based on the participant's 'choice' of mailing a letter to a person in the past, creating an unprecedented branching accommodation experience.

Participants in the preview event gave high praise, with comments such as: 'It was very difficult, but the exhilaration when I solved it was amazing,' 'I enjoyed solving the puzzles, and since the entire hotel facility is a clue, I could enjoy it not just with my head but with all five senses,' and 'It gave me an opportunity to visit places within the facility I wouldn't have gone to during a normal stay and experience new things.'

The domestic escape game/mystery market reached a sales scale of 101.5 billion yen in 2025, surpassing 10 billion yen for the first time in the industry (*2). The story, written exclusively for this location after the writer researched the vast grounds, nature, and climate of Risonare Nasu, is an inimitable soft asset.

The production team includes Mr. Tokiharu (belonging to Tokikiru), who handles mystery-solving for TBS's 'Sato Takeru & Chidori Nobu yo! Kono Nazo o Toite Miro!' and others, and writer Mr. Hiro Sakurakawa (production cooperation by Tsukurigoto), who has won the Grand Prize in the Net Novel Awards.
