Starting April 14, we are providing a dedicated 'Comic Viewer' to all creators on note to help deliver drawn works to new readers. Simply by uploading manga manuscripts, you can publish and sell works that can be read crisply by flipping pages.
The Comic Viewer is a feature designed for creators who draw manga to deliver their works to readers easily and in a highly readable format. Ahead of this release, an early access trial was conducted with approximately 550 participating creators. We have continuously improved the feature based on their feedback, leading to today's official launch. Additionally, in the Manga and Comic Essay categories of 'Creative Award 2026'—Japan's largest creative contest accepting submissions since April 8—works can also be submitted using the Comic Viewer format.
We aim to prepare an environment where all kinds of creations, including manga, can be easily delivered, tying into our mission to 'make it so that anyone can start and continue creating.'
Background of the Comic Viewer Launch
The digital comic market has reached 527.3 billion yen, growing to account for 76% of the entire comic market (*1). More manga artists are publishing their works on the web without going through publishers. They want to publish works openly, be discovered by new readers, and complete monetization all in one place. We developed the Comic Viewer in response to these creators' voices.
Previously on note, manga was primarily posted as standalone images. With the Comic Viewer, uploading manuscripts allows them to be published in a page-flipping format.
note has been expanding opportunities for manga creators through initiatives like the 'Creative Award' and posting projects in collaboration with popular manga editorial departments. Dozens of manga series have been published as physical books originating from posts on note. Submissions for the Manga and Comic Essay categories of the 'Creative Award 2026' started on April 8. We are releasing this feature to expand the options for manga creators to deliver their works.

(1) Post simply by uploading your manuscripts
Just drag and drop manga image files onto the article editing screen to complete a page-flipping manga article. No special tools or conversion processes are needed. It supports up to 200 pages, and sorting, deleting, or inserting pages is easy. Early users have commented, 'Loading is fast, and I could upload crisply,' and 'I was moved by how smooth it was from upload to publication.'

(2) Your drawn works remain on note, continually reaching new readers
Posted works are openly published and reach new readers who don't know the work yet via search and SNS. The display is automatically optimized for the viewing environment—two-page spread on PC, single-page on smartphones—ensuring the work is delivered in an easy-to-read format on any device.
(3) Use note's usual systems for both paid sales and subscriptions
note's paid sales systems, such as paid articles, subscription magazines, and memberships, can be used as they are. Publish works, interact with readers, and monetize. Everything from posting to monetization is completed within note itself.
Whether as a 'home base' for serialized manga or a 'portfolio' to compile scattered short stories, the Comic Viewer can be used to match every creator's creative style.
Voices of Early Users and Improved Features
Prior to the official release of the Comic Viewer, we recruited early users starting March 18, 2026. In about 10 days, over 550 creators applied, and we received over 200 comments and requests.

'Until now, I had half given up, thinking it couldn't be helped since this is primarily a text-based platform. But with this new feature, it is now possible to flip pages and read just like a physical book.'
