Norwegian Cruise Line® (NCL), a global innovator in cruise travel, headquartered in Miami, USA, and led by President Mark Kausrauskas, announced that it will broadcast all 104 matches of the FIFA World Cup 26™, held from June 11 to July 19, 2026, live across its entire fleet.
The FIFA World Cup 26™ will be the largest tournament in history, hosted across multiple cities in the United States, Mexico, and Canada. With global attention, including from Japan, NCL will offer a new experiential value that merges "travel" and "sports viewing."
Onboard, in addition to viewing on in-cabin TVs, guests can also enjoy watching matches with fellow travelers from around the world in designated public spaces. Dedicated channels will be provided to accommodate overlapping match times, and a recording playback function will allow guests to watch matches according to their own schedules.
Furthermore, public viewing areas will offer an immersive viewing experience, allowing guests from all over the world to enjoy matches together. Meanwhile, guests who do not wish to watch the matches can spend their time in onboard facilities such as spas, dining venues, and entertainment, enjoying a stay tailored to their individual styles.
Previously, travelers had to choose between prioritizing "watching matches" or "prioritizing travel." However, NCL cruises allow both to be effortlessly combined. Guests can enjoy port excursions and onboard stays while watching matches, allowing them to fully enjoy the tournament without interrupting their travel flow.
NCL will offer this viewing experience on cruises worldwide. FIFA World Cup 26™ matches can be enjoyed in real-time even on cruises popular with Japanese travelers, such as Hawaii, and in Europe, where there is high demand for summer travel.
In Hawaii, the 7-day island-hopping cruise on the "Pride of America®" departs every Saturday from Honolulu. The itinerary circles Oahu, Maui, Hawaii (Big Island), and Kauai, with overnight stays set for Maui and Kauai. Guests can enjoy sightseeing on each island during the day and watch matches onboard in the evening. Prices start from US$1,178* per person (based on double occupancy).
In Europe, NCL offers Mediterranean cruises on the "Norwegian Epic" departing from Barcelona or Rome, and Greek Isles cruises on the "Norwegian Viva" departing from Istanbul, Barcelona, or Venice (Ravenna). Guests can enjoy sightseeing and cultural experiences while watching FIFA World Cup 26™ matches in real-time onboard. Prices start from US$649* per person for the "Norwegian Epic" itinerary departing from Barcelona, and from US$1,049* per person for the "Norwegian Viva" itinerary departing from Istanbul (both based on double occupancy).
*Please note that prices are as of May 13, 2026, and are subject to change. Please check here for applicable terms and conditions.
In addition to these representative routes, NCL will operate a variety of cruise routes worldwide, including in Europe, from 2026 to 2027. Guests can flexibly choose their trip from various ships and departure ports according to their preferences.
Furthermore, NCL's "Freestyle Cruising" offers no restrictions on dining and entertainment times, allowing guests to spend their time freely according to their own schedules. This makes it possible to flexibly combine meals and activities while centering around match viewing times, achieving a more stress-free travel experience.
NCL will continue to provide attractive cruise experiences that seamlessly integrate travel, human connection, and entertainment to guests worldwide.
