Nomura Real Estate Development Co., Ltd. (Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Daisaku Matsuo, hereinafter "our company") is pleased to announce that Capella Hotel Group (Headquarters: Singapore; President: Roland Fasel), a luxury brand developed by Capella Hotels and Resorts (hereinafter "Capella"), will make its Tokyo debut as part of the "Nishiazabu 3-chome Northeast District Class 1 Urban Redevelopment Project," in which our company is participating as a joint member.
The hotel will be named "Capella Tokyo" and is scheduled to open in 2030.
Capella is a luxury hotel brand with 10 hotels worldwide, operating under the philosophy that "true luxury is highly personal and deeply local," respecting the cultural values of each region. In addition to its presence in Singapore and Bangkok, the brand is steadily expanding into culturally rich cities, with "Capella Kyoto" set to open as the first Capella hotel in Japan in March 2026.
The Roppongi-Azabu area selected for this Tokyo expansion is a location with multifaceted appeal, where vibrant urban functions are adjacent to historic residential areas, creating an environment highly compatible with Capella's brand concept. This will further expand Capella's provision of luxury experiences in two of Japan's leading cities.
Furthermore, Capella has received high international acclaim for its service, design, and customer experience, including being selected as the "World's Best Hotel Brand" for three consecutive years from 2023 to 2025 by the "World's Best Awards" hosted by the travel magazine "Travel + Leisure."
"Capella Tokyo," scheduled to open in 2030, will be located in the upper floors of a 54-story building and is planned to feature 86 guest rooms, including suites, as well as various facilities such as two restaurants, a bar lounge, a spa, a fitness gym, and banquet halls. Additionally, approximately 500 residences adjacent to the building will be staffed with dedicated Capella concierges and other personnel, offering residents a comfortable, hotel-like living experience.
