[Management Certification®] Applications Open for First Half of 2026 Examination

The Japan Management Association (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President: Takahisa Takahara) announced on May 8th the start of applications for the first half of the 2026 "Management Certification®" examination.

The Management Certification® is an examination that measures systematic knowledge in the field of management and administration, and is widely utilized by a diverse range of individuals, from students to business professionals. It also has high affinity with the learning content of the Small and Medium Enterprise Management Consultant examination, making it effective for those considering obtaining future qualifications to build a strong foundation.

■ What is Management Certification®?

It is a certification examination that nationally certifies that individuals have reached a certain standard in basic and specialized knowledge related to management and the ability to solve management challenges.

Currently, it consists of three grades: Grade III, Grade II, and Grade I.

You can choose your desired date and time to take the examination from approximately 360 venues nationwide (CBT method).

■ 2026 Examination Schedule

The first half of the 2026 examination will be held on the following dates:

Grade III and Grade II
Examination Period: June 1st (Mon) to July 31st (Fri)
Application Period: May 8th (Fri) to July 28th (Tue)
* The second half examination is scheduled to be held between October and January 2027.

Grade I
Examination Period: July 1st (Wed) to July 31st (Fri)
Application Period: May 8th (Fri) to July 28th (Tue)
* The second half examination is scheduled to be held between November and January 2027.

[Grade III]
Assesses understanding of basic and fundamental knowledge of management studies.

Examination Format
- Question Format: Multiple-choice questions (4 options) 50 questions
- Examination Time: 60 minutes
- Eligibility: No restrictions
- Passing Standard: 60 points or more out of 100 points

Examination Fee
6,600 yen (tax included)

[Grade II]
Assesses acquisition of knowledge related to management and administration.

Examination Format
- Question Format: Multiple-choice questions (4 options) 100 questions
- Examination Time: 120 minutes
- Eligibility: No restrictions
- Passing Standard: 60 points or more out of 100 points AND 40% or more correct answer rate for each subject

Examination Fee
11,000 yen (tax included)

[Grade I]
Assesses the ability to propose effective solutions to various challenges faced in business scenarios, based on optimal theories and ways of thinking.

Examination Format
- Question Format: Descriptive questions (3-5 short answers + 1 long answer)
- Examination Time: 60 minutes
- Eligibility: No restrictions
- Passing Standard: 70 points or more out of 100 points
