NOK Group First Selected for SOMPO Sustainability Index, Recognized in Categories Including 'Sustainability,' 'Stakeholder Communication,' and 'Internal Communication'

NOK Corporation (Headquarters: Shimbashi, Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Masuo Tsuru; hereinafter "NOK") has been selected for the first time as a constituent of the "SOMPO Sustainability Index" managed by SOMPO Asset Management Co., Ltd.

The "SOMPO Sustainability Index" comprises approximately 300 companies that meet or exceed certain ESG evaluation standards based on the company's "ESG Management Survey" and "Environmental Management Survey (Bunano Mori Environmental Questionnaire)." The index is adopted by institutional investors, including pension funds.

The NOK Group aims to become a company in which all stakeholders can take pride, advancing its business with a focus on achieving both sustainable corporate growth and environmental and social sustainability. The Group continues to enhance its ESG initiatives. In this selection, NOK received particularly high scores in the categories of "Sustainability," "Stakeholder Communication," and "Internal Communication."

Specific initiatives that were positively evaluated include human capital efforts such as the introduction of a new personnel system and enhanced talent development programs, implementation of supplier due diligence, and proactive information disclosure to both internal and external stakeholders through publications such as the "Integrated Report" and "ESG Data Book." Going forward, the NOK Group will continue to improve the effectiveness of these initiatives and further enhance its information disclosure.
