While the utilization of generative AI and data analysis is expanding, many companies face challenges such as limited personnel capable of advanced AI application in actual operations even after establishing AI environments, and difficulty in bridging training to practical, on-site usability. Daikin Industries, despite advancing internal environments like a company-wide ChatGPT, had a limited number of employees effectively leveraging advanced AI in their daily work.
In this initiative, NOB DATA participated from the planning stage, designing and operating a practical, hands-on program that combined generative AI, time-series analysis, and mathematical optimization. Program participants acquired the skills to develop AI applications based on their actual work challenges. Through the planning and operation of this practice-oriented program, NOB DATA enabled the development of personnel capable of independently building tools for practical use. This case study demonstrates how to design and operate talent development programs that lead to practical application for companies where AI environments exist but real-world utilization is lagging.

Background: Why Practical Application of AI is Difficult Even with Internal AI Environments
Amidst the accelerating evolution of generative AI and data analysis technologies, the need for AI and data utilization talent development within companies is growing. However, challenges are emerging where single introductory courses or general training alone are insufficient to develop personnel to a level where they can be utilized in actual operations.
Daikin Industries, while having established environments such as a company-wide ChatGPT, found that only a limited number of employees were able to connect this to advanced AI utilization in their daily work. There was also a challenge of data analysis learners having few people to consult with for specific issues after being assigned to their departments.
In response to this situation, NOB DATA aimed to foster talent development that leads to the resolution of practical work issues and self-sufficiency in the field, rather than mere knowledge acquisition, and supported the planning, design, and operation of this initiative.
Support for Designing and Operating Training Programs Leading to Practical Application
NOB DATA participated from the planning stage of the training, taking charge of the design and operation of the generative AI course. Given the rapid pace of technological advancement in the generative AI field, a system was established to adjust lecture content flexibly, without relying on a fixed curriculum, while incorporating the latest tool information weekly.
Furthermore, depending on corporate needs, the program was designed to combine specialized areas such as time-series analysis, anomaly detection, and mathematical optimization. By combining lectures and exercises, practical, hands-on learning was achieved, going beyond theoretical study. The training was conducted from July 2025 to February 2026, comprising a total of 30 sessions across two courses.
Participants Developed AI Applications to Solve Work Challenges, Creating Results Leading to Practical Use
In the generative AI exercises, participants developed applications utilizing AI to solve their actual work challenges. Incorporating approaches like "vibe coding," they practiced giving instructions to AI in natural language and shaping usable tools in a short period. Developed examples include an automatic extraction app for chemical toxicity information, an app for extracting necessary information from vast service documents using natural language, and a dashboard for analyzing course feedback.
The course feedback analysis dashboard is already being used in actual operations, leading to increased efficiency in aggregation and analysis tasks that were previously done manually. A significant achievement of this initiative is enabling participants to autonomously develop applications to solve their work challenges, informed by the latest generative AI information.
Moreover, learning directly from specialists in time-series mathematical optimization facilitated the adoption of data utilization methods from a business perspective, not just theoretical knowledge, and contributed to building a system where more accurate advice can be provided for on-site consultations. Participants commented, "I didn't realize it could be this easy," and "I can now understand how to use analysis methods whose application I couldn't previously imagine."

Comment from Nobuaki Oshiro, Representative Director of NOB DATA Inc.
"In corporate AI and data analysis talent development, simply providing lectures does not equip individuals with practical skills. It is crucial to design programs that consider business characteristics, on-site challenges, and participant skill levels, combine necessary expertise, and connect these to the resolution of practical work issues. In this support, we combined generative AI, time-series analysis, and mathematical optimization, aiming to develop personnel who can independently build tools suitable for practical use in a short period while tackling actual work challenges. NOB DATA will continue to provide support for AI and data utilization that is applied in the field, rather than just training that ends with learning."
