NITACO Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Akihito Nitta) has released "KY-AI by Tsukunobi AI," a web tool that innovates KY (Kiken Yochi - Hazard Prediction) activities at construction sites using AI. By simply scanning a QR code displayed at the site with a smartphone, users can complete everything from automatic acquisition of weather information and AI-generated hazard predictions to participant records and PDF report output in just 30 seconds. No app installation or account registration is required for workers. The service can be started with a free plan.

Development Background

At construction sites, KY (Hazard Prediction) activities are required every morning before starting work (Industrial Safety and Health Act, Article 28-2). However, currently, many sites spend 15 to 30 minutes handwriting KY sheets, and three long-standing issues have been neglected: "copying the same content daily," "becoming a mere formality due to lack of new ideas," and "inability to store and search paper documents."

On the other hand, existing KY digitalization tools only offer paid plans starting from 30,000 yen per month, and there are no services that support automatic acquisition of weather information. Because they require workers from partner companies to install apps and register accounts, implementation often stalls at the site.

"Anyone can complete KY in 30 seconds just by reading a QR code." KY-AI was developed to realize this experience.

Service Overview

KY-AI is a digitalization tool for KY activities specifically designed for construction sites, where AI automatically generates hazard predictions simply by scanning a QR code.

When a construction manager registers site information (project name, address, work details) on the administration screen, a QR code is automatically issued for each site. Workers simply scan the QR code with their smartphone to launch a browser, and project information is automatically displayed. Based on location information obtained from GPS, weather, temperature, humidity, and wind speed are automatically acquired in real-time. AI then combines work content and weather conditions to automatically generate hazard predictions based on the 4-round method (grasping the current situation → pursuing the essence → establishing countermeasures → setting goals). Workers complete the KY activity simply by reviewing and correcting the proposed content.

Completed KY sheets are sent to the construction manager as an approval request, allowing for one-tap approval or rejection (with comments). Once approved, they can be downloaded as a single A4 portrait PDF report and support cloud storage, search, and analysis.

Three Features

① KY Completion in 30 Seconds Just by Scanning a QR Code ── No App, No Account Required

Workers simply scan the QR code with their smartphone. No app installation or account registration is required. When the browser launches, project information and weather information are automatically displayed, and AI proposes hazard predictions. The KY activity is completed by simply reviewing and pressing "Complete." By minimizing the barriers to adoption for partner companies, the KY implementation rate across the entire site will improve.

  • No app installation or account registration required

  • KY completion in 30 seconds from QR code scan

  • Intuitive operation even for workers unfamiliar with IT

  • Immediate deployment to the entire site, including partner companies, is possible

② Industry's First: Automatic Weather Acquisition x AI Hazard Prediction ── Automatically Generates Risks from Work Content x Weather x Past Cases
