Amidst the increasing externalization and simplification of food, and the decrease in vegetable and fruit intake among young people, which highlight irregularities in adult dietary habits, there is a growing need to promote "adult food education," especially for the young people who will lead the future society.
The "Food Education Practice Excellent Corporation Commendation System" was established by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries with the aim of commending companies that provide healthy meals and undertake other initiatives to improve employees' dietary habits, and evaluate those efforts, thereby enhancing vitality within companies and promoting the widespread adoption of excellent practices. The "Public-Private Partnership Food Education Platform," established by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries in June 2025 to promote "adult food education," conducts annual certifications.
