Nishitetsu Railway to Offer 50-Yen Train Rides for Children on Weekends and Holidays

Nishitetsu Railway announced that it will expand its '50-Yen Train for Children' service to all weekends, public holidays, and long vacation periods starting April 29, 2026. Under this system, elementary school students using a child-specific 'nimoca' IC card will have the difference between the standard child fare and 50 yen refunded as nimoca points by the end of the following month. The initiative aims to support families and encourage the use of public transportation among children. The service covers all Nishitetsu lines, including the Tenjin Omuta and Kaizuka lines, for approximately 170 days per year.
