Nishio Rent All Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture; President: Koji Nishio), a subsidiary of Nishio Holdings Co., Ltd., is pleased to announce that the ground improvement construction support system "Tarpos 3D," jointly developed with Fudo Tetra Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Shinya Okuda), has been selected as a NETIS recommended technology for Reiwa 8th year by the "New Technology Utilization Scheme Review Committee" of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.

Technology Name: Ground Improvement Construction Support System "Tarpos 3D"
NETIS Registration Number: KTK-200015-VE
Selection Category: Reiwa 8th Year Recommended Technology (Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism New Technology Utilization Scheme Review Committee)

■ Background of Technology Development
Since Reiwa 2 (2020), guidelines for performance management using construction history data in ICT ground improvement work (deep mixing method) have been introduced. Consequently, there has been a growing need to review the conventional workflow in ground improvement construction, which relied on TS surveying and stake installation by workers, and guidance of improvement machines by guides.
To address these on-site challenges, both companies have significantly upgraded their conventional construction support system, which only offered 2D guidance. They jointly developed "Tarpos 3D," which newly adds a 3D guidance function.

■ Features of the Technology
"Tarpos 3D" is a ground improvement construction support system that guides the pile core in real-time based on 2D+3D position information acquired from GNSS. The following three functions can be flexibly combined and utilized per site.
Function Content: 2D Guidance (2D) Pile core guidance at a planar position. 3D Guidance (3D) Pile core guidance from a three-dimensional perspective, improving horizontal visibility. 2D/3D Display of Driving Status Real-time visualization of construction progress.

■ Main Effects of Introduction
① Improved Workability
3D display allows easy operation regardless of the operator's skill and experience, ensuring stable construction quality even at sites facing a shortage of skilled workers.
② Improved Construction Accuracy
Improved horizontal visibility enables highly accurate pile core guidance without rework. This significantly streamlines the processes previously handled by surveying and guiding personnel.
③ Improved Safety
Real-time visualization of construction machine position, pile core position, surrounding information, and terrain information ensures a safe construction environment.
④ Compatibility with ICT Construction (Informationization)
It is applicable to ICT ground improvement work (performance management guidelines using construction history data) and supports the i-Construction initiatives promoted by the government.

■ Scope of Application
All ground improvement work requiring an ICT ground guidance system.

■ Future Development
Taking advantage of this recommended technology selection, both companies will further accelerate the dissemination and deployment of "Tarpos 3D" and contribute to the digitalization, productivity improvement, and resolution of labor shortages in construction sites.
