Nippon Paint Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President: Tomoo Enomoto; hereinafter, "the Company") is pleased to announce that its "Danziola E Primer" (hereinafter, "this product"), which the Company manufactures and sells, has been selected as a "Recommended Technology for FY2026" on April 27, 2026, from among the products registered in the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's New Technology Information System (NETIS). (NETIS Registration Number: CG-250006-A).
NETIS is a database that shares and provides information on new technologies to promote their utilization in public works projects. This product was registered with NETIS on September 30, 2025, in recognition of its "high barrier property" and "high corrosion resistance on rusted surfaces," which lead to simplified surface preparation, reduced lifecycle costs due to improved corrosion protection quality, and fewer construction constraints.
Each year, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism selects groundbreaking and useful new technologies as "Recommended Technologies," "Semi-Recommended Technologies," or "Evaluation Promotion Technologies" from those registered in NETIS, following a review by external experts. This product has now been selected as a "Recommended Technology" as a groundbreaking new technology that contributes to further improving the technical standards for public works projects.
This product exerts excellent corrosion resistance by suppressing the infiltration of corrosive factors with its high barrier property, and through its "rust conversion function," it quickly transforms rusted surfaces into a stable structure even when painted over rust. Furthermore, in surface preparation, it can tolerate three times the residual salt content compared to conventional specifications, leading to a reduction in rinsing time. Moreover, since it can be applied directly to rusted surfaces, the time required for surface preparation is significantly shortened, thereby contributing to the extension of infrastructure repainting cycles and the shortening of construction periods.
Technologies selected as "Recommended Technologies" are easier to propose for use in public works projects. Compared to ordinary NETIS registered technologies, contractors utilizing such technologies can receive higher additional points in comprehensive evaluations and construction performance scores, offering adoption benefits for both ordering parties and contractors.
The Company will continue to contribute to solving societal challenges through the development of products and technologies that support the maintenance and management of social infrastructure.
