Nippon Battery Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Shuichi Urushibara) announces that the "NC Masuda City Higashimachi Power Storage Station," a grid-scale energy storage facility built in Masuda City, Shimane Prefecture, began receiving power on March 19, 2026.

This facility is positioned as a decentralized regional energy hub that absorbs and levels the output fluctuations of renewable energy and responds to the JEPX (wholesale market), balancing market, and capacity market. In addition, it functions as a disaster prevention hub that supports the regional power supply during emergencies, thereby contributing to the improvement of regional resilience.
