Nasu Highland Park, under the umbrella of Japan Theme Park Development Co., Ltd.—part of the Nippon Parking Development (NPD) Group dedicated to regional transformation (RX)—will collaborate with Nasu-Shiobara Municipal Nisshin Junior High School from June to July 2026. The park will host special classes within the school’s integrated studies curriculum, using the amusement park as a model. Staff members from Nasu Highland Park will provide hands-on explanations regarding the economic mechanisms of the tourism industry and the creativity and planning skills required to turn ideas into reality in amusement park operations.

The initiative aims to deepen students' understanding of tourism as a regional industry, while providing practical learning opportunities for "the power of ideas to entertain others" and "planning skills that consider profitability." At the end of the course, students will present their ideas, and those deemed feasible will be reflected in the actual operation of Nasu Highland Park.

Education and Travel at Nasu Highland Park For several years, Nasu Highland Park has strengthened its "education x travel" initiatives. The "experiential training trips" program, launched in 2020, has seen a rapid increase in applications post-COVID, becoming a highly popular school excursion plan.

The group is actively addressing SDGs, conducting multi-faceted social contribution activities such as realizing carbon neutrality, dog rescue and adoption (SOS activities), and operating children's cafeterias. In particular, the park aims to become a circular resort by installing a biomass power generation unit that utilizes thinning wood from forest maintenance for electricity and heat supply.

Future Initiatives To address the "2024 problem" in logistics and labor, the park has introduced an "educational travel bus subsidy" and is preparing worksheets that allow students to learn about the park’s SDGs efforts during their visit.
