Nikko Corporation (Head office: Akashi City, Hyogo Prefecture; President: Tomomi Nakayama; Securities Code: 6306; hereinafter, "Nikko") will exhibit at the "2026 NEW Environmental Exhibition" held at Tokyo Big Sight.
As an asphalt plant manufacturer with approximately 80% domestic market share, Nikko will introduce recycling solutions that combine the core technologies cultivated in plant manufacturing.
Construction surplus soil is earth and sand generated during civil engineering and construction work, which has been utilized as a "resource." On the other hand, triggered by the embankment collapse accident in 2021, regulations have been tightened, and the importance of appropriate evaluation and management of soil quality has further increased. At this exhibition, we will introduce our independently developed self-propelled soil improvement equipment that addresses these backgrounds. (The mixer, which is the core unit, will be exhibited as an actual machine.)
Furthermore, large quantities of waste are generated at construction and demolition sites, sometimes requiring special treatment, making the disposal and recycling of this waste a significant burden for construction companies and intermediate processors. Meanwhile, the volume of waste discharged is on an increasing trend, making efficient processing and further promotion of recycling an urgent task.
At this exhibition, Nikko proposes products and solutions that leverage its plant-related technologies to solve the challenges of construction waste disposal and recycling.
■ Exhibition Overview
[Period] Wednesday, May 20, 2026 - Friday, May 22, 2026
[Hours] 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Until 4:00 PM on the final day)
[Venue] Tokyo Big Sight, East Exhibition Hall 3 (Booth No. A346)
[Address] 3-10-1 Ariake, Koto-ku, Tokyo 135-0063
■ Exhibition Contents (Excerpt)
❚ Construction Surplus Soil Recycling
Self-propelled Soil Improvement Machine Actual Exhibition (Mixer only)
Soil improvement according to legal regulations is essential for the recycling and disposal of construction surplus soil. In addition to the high mixing performance unique to a plant manufacturer, it achieves overwhelming low fuel consumption of 1/3 to 1/4 compared to other companies' products with a hybrid drive of electric and hydraulic power. Furthermore, operation with external power supply makes it possible to eliminate exhaust gas.
❚ Industrial Waste Recycling
Solution Case Studies (Panel Exhibition)
We will introduce case studies of recycling solutions for gypsum board, construction sludge, crushed stone dewatering cake, concrete, and more.
● Waste Gypsum Board
Although widely used for its low cost and excellent fire resistance and sound insulation, recycling has not progressed due to the need for careful disposal, and most of it is ultimately disposed of. Nikko provides products and services that contribute to improving the efficiency of gypsum board disposal and increasing the recycling rate.
● Sludge
Among the earth and sand generated from construction and demolition sites, "sludge" incurs enormous effort and cost for its treatment. Nikko supports resource recovery through automation and mechanization of processes, including mixing.
● Concrete
Large quantities of waste concrete (concrete rubble) and waste asphalt (asphalt rubble) generated from construction and demolition sites are classified as industrial waste under the Waste Management and Public Cleansing Act, driving up the effort and cost of waste disposal. Nikko promotes recycling through proposals for efficient and energy-saving crushers and separators.
In addition, we will exhibit an actual industrial heater (jet heater) that uses hydrogen as fuel and emits no CO₂, as well as various crushers.
