Call for Entries Begins for the 74th Nikkor Photo Contest

Nikon Imaging Japan Inc., a subsidiary of Nikon Corporation, has begun accepting entries for the "74th Nikkor Photo Contest." URL: https://nij.nikon.com/enjoy/ncpc/74/sp/ The "Nikkor Photo Contest," which began in 1953, is now in its 74th year, supported by a vast number of entries over the decades. It is a photography contest open to everyone, transcending the boundaries between professionals and amateurs. Participants may use cameras from any manufacturer, not limited to Nikon equipment. Each iteration of the contest receives many outstanding works. To encourage even more people to participate this time, we have expanded the Web category—which consisted of only one category last year—into three categories: "Open," "Nature," and "Under 35" (all for single photos). Together with the Print category's "Open," "Nature," and "Junior/Senior High School Student" sections (all for single and組 photos), we are accepting entries across a total of two divisions and six categories. Submitted works will undergo a rigorous judging process by leading professional photographers and editors-in-chief of digital camera magazines, who will select Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Selected winners for each category. Furthermore, the most outstanding work among all entries will be awarded the "Grand Prix," receiving a cash prize of 500,000 yen and a "Nikon Z8" as a supplementary prize. Additionally, an exhibition of the winning works will be held at "THE GALLERY" in Nikon Plaza Tokyo and Osaka.
