Call for Entries Opens for the 74th Nikkor Photo Contest

Nikon Corporation's subsidiary, Nikon Imaging Japan Inc., has begun accepting entries for the "74th Nikkor Photo Contest." URL: https://nij.nikon.com/enjoy/ncpc/74/sp/ Started in 1953, the "Nikkor Photo Contest" is celebrating its 74th edition, supported by a vast number of entries over the years. It is a photo contest open to anyone, bridging the gap between professionals and amateurs. Furthermore, the photography equipment is not limited to Nikon cameras; entries taken with cameras from other manufacturers are also welcome. Every year, many outstanding works are submitted. To encourage even more people to apply this year, the Web category, which only had one section last year, has been expanded into three sections: "Free," "Nature," and "Under 35" (all single photos). Combined with the Print category's "Free," "Nature," and "Junior High / High School Students" (both single and photo essays), the contest is accepting entries across a total of 2 divisions and 6 categories. Submitted works will undergo a rigorous screening by active frontline professional photographers and editors-in-chief of digital camera magazines. Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Honorable Mention awards will be selected in each category. Furthermore, the most outstanding work among all entries will be awarded the "Grand Prix," receiving a cash prize of 500,000 yen and a "Nikon Z8" as an additional prize. In addition, a photo exhibition featuring the winning works will be held at "THE GALLERY," the photo exhibition venue at Nikon Plaza Tokyo and Osaka.
