[Oisix Niigata] Anti-tout announcements by players Tenyu Higa, Aiki Ishiyama, and Daniel Frye begin at the Bentendori Shopping Street in front of Niigata Station

Oisix Niigata Albirex Baseball Club (hereinafter "Oisix") is pleased to announce that players Tenyu Higa, Aiki Ishiyama, and Daniel Frye have begun providing anti-tout announcements at the Bentendori Shopping Street in front of Niigata Station.

Players Higa and Ishiyama recorded their announcements in Japanese, while Daniel Frye provided his in English.

Oisix supports the "Blue Handkerchief Project," an anti-tout initiative led by the Bentendori Shopping Street, and has already begun displaying flags and posters as part of the campaign.

When visiting Niigata Station, we encourage you to stop by the shopping street and see the flags and posters on display. Let's work together to create a safe and secure environment in front of Niigata Station!

Overview of Anti-Tout Announcements

Location: Bentendori Shopping Street, 2-chome, Benten, Chuo-ku, Niigata City, Niigata Prefecture 950-0087

Time: 17:00 - 21:00 (Broadcast repeatedly during these hours)

Background and Purpose of the Collaboration

"Tout" behavior, where individuals solicit passersby to enter restaurants or other establishments, has been prohibited by ordinance in Niigata Prefecture since April 2008. However, as this remains an ongoing issue, local shops in front of Niigata Station have united to launch the "Blue Handkerchief Project" to eliminate touting.

As a baseball club, we support this initiative and are contributing to the eradication of touting through the display of flags and posters featuring our players, as well as by having our players provide audio announcements within the shopping district.

This marks the first time the club has participated in an anti-tout project since its inception.

Oisix will continue to actively engage in initiatives that contribute to regional development and the resolution of local issues, aiming to realize our club philosophy of "Regional revitalization through 'hometown professional baseball'."

Oisix Niigata Albirex Baseball Club is a professional baseball team that was established alongside the founding of the BC League. Since 2024, the team has participated in the NPB Farm League. With food delivery company Oisix ra daichi Inc. serving as the main sponsor, we aim to be the club that develops the best players in Japan and the most "delicious" club in the country.
