The Second Edition: 'The Alsatian Table'

From August 1 (Sat), 2026, to September 30 (Wed), 2026, the hotel’s Panoramic Restaurant Le Normandie will feature traditional dishes from Alsace—a region where French and German cultures converge—offering guests a warm and comforting dining experience. The meal begins with Tarte Flambée, a thin-crust tart topped with fromage blanc, onions, and bacon, baked to a crisp perfection. This is followed by a nourishing soup made with bulgur, a high-protein grain, blended with seasonal vegetables for a delicate, savory flavor. For the main course, guests can choose Baeckeoffe, a hearty casserole of three meats and potatoes slow-cooked in white wine. From appetizer to dessert—featuring the classic Linzer Torte served with soft prunes—this course is a celebration of Alsatian culinary heritage.

Hotel New Grand

Opened in 1927 (Showa 2) as a symbol of Yokohama’s recovery after the Great Kanto Earthquake, Hotel New Grand is a classic European-style grand hotel.
