Call for Exhibitors for the 'Japan Zone' at the 2026 Taipei International Travel Fair (ITF2026) Begins April 1st (Wed)

The Japan Tourism Association (Minato-ku, Tokyo; Chairman: Masanobu Komoda, Representative Director and Chairman of Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd.), as a supporting organization for the Taipei International Travel Fair (ITF), has been handling applications for exhibitors from Japan and planning and operating the entire Japan Zone area for many years. We began accepting applications for the Japan Zone at 'ITF2026' on April 1st (Wed) at 10:00 AM. 1. What is the Taipei International Travel Fair (ITF)? The Taipei International Travel Fair (ITF), which began in 1987, is Taiwan's largest international travel fair. Starting with the 34th edition in 2026, it will be renamed the 'Taiwan International Travel Fair.' In 2025, 123 countries and regions participated, with 1,600 booths and 365,000 visitors over four days. 2. What is the Japan Zone? In 2025, 110 organizations and 207 booths participated, significantly outnumbering other participating countries. This number has increased significantly every year since the pandemic, and the evaluation of exhibiting in the Japan Zone as an excellent opportunity for inbound tourism from Taiwan and promotion in the Taiwanese market is rising year by year. 3. Benefits of exhibiting in the Japan Zone: - A dedicated secretariat provides detailed support in Japanese for all procedures from application to exhibition. - Before the ITF opening, a press conference hosted by the ITF, attended by about 200 domestic and international media, will be held, where the Japan Zone secretariat will represent and introduce the Japan Zone exhibitors. - A dedicated event stage for the Japan Zone is set up, which exhibitors can use for free for performances and presentations. - Regarding promotions on the main stage of the ITF, the organizers grant performance slots to each participating country/organization, and the Japan Zone has secured the highest number of slots among all participating countries/organizations. The Japan Zone secretariat also supports performances and presentations using the main stage. - Among the many countries exhibiting from around the world, the Japan Zone boasts the greatest popularity and is the leading attraction zone of the fair. Since 2025, we have been working to increase the number of visitor survey responses to further improve marketing effectiveness, and we provide the aggregated data as market research results to all exhibitors. - The Japan Zone features exhibitors from diverse industries, including local governments, transportation, accommodation, and travel agencies, leading to many cases of cross-industry exchange and new business collaborations. 4.
