The IR Technical Education Institute will host a public seminar to systematically learn knowledge essential for wireless device design and troubleshooting, covering fundamental principles of wireless communication, communication quality, antennas, noise countermeasures, and the characteristics and selection criteria of communication methods such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and LTE.

In recent years, wireless communication technologies such as Bluetooth, wireless LAN, LTE, and LPWA have become easier to implement in various devices due to the widespread availability of ICs and chipsets.

However, development teams often face challenges such as "communication range shorter than expected," "unstable communication due to noise," "performance variations due to antennas or installation environments," and "uncertainty in selecting the appropriate communication method."

Seminar Overview

Seminar Title: Introduction to Wireless Communication Technology — Fundamentals and Practical Applications for Design and Troubleshooting

Format: Online via Zoom

Date and Time: August 25, 2026 (Tuesday), 13:30–16:30

Fee: 29,700 JPY (tax included)

Instructor: Keiichi Taguchi (Representative, CosmoICT Innovation)

Course Details

This course systematically covers the fundamentals of wireless communication to help participants understand the overall picture, including how radio waves propagate, characteristics of frequencies, the relationship between communication distance and transmission/reception power, and the mechanisms of noise and interference affecting communication quality. Additionally, it explains the basic principles of antennas, wireless device architecture, modulation and demodulation, and the characteristics and selection criteria of major wireless technologies such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE, and LPWA. The goal is to acquire practical knowledge applicable to the design, development, and troubleshooting of wireless devices.
