"comico WEBTOON BL Manga Award" Results Announced! 4 Works Win Awards!

NHN comico Corp. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Woo-Jin Chung) announced today, March 26, the results of the inaugural "comico WEBTOON BL Manga Award" held on the manga app "comico."

The "comico WEBTOON BL Manga Award" invited submissions of one-shot BL-themed Webtoons of 30 panels or more between October 15, 2025, and January 15, 2026.

Following a rigorous selection process by the comico editorial department, two works were awarded the Semi-Grand Prix: "Transfusion" by Orio and "Coward's End" (Okubyomono no Matsuro) by mocopaco. Additionally, two works received the Encouragement Award: "The Answer is in the Chest" (Henji wa Munemoto ni) by Ichijiku Ato and "Refrain Code" by Takowasa. (There was no winner for the "Grand Prix" category.)

Beyond the prize money, all winners will be assigned a dedicated editor from the comico editorial department to provide comprehensive support for their creative activities leading up to their debut.

In recent years, BL Webtoon titles originating from comico have received high acclaim. This includes "I'm Targeted by a Pervert Stalker," which placed 3rd in 2024 and 5th in 2025 in the Webtoon category of the "BL Awards," and "If You're Not My Fated Partner, Just for Tonight," which ranked 12th in 2025.
